When Queen Kasiya was picking a consort, she picked the most unlikely of mates. Aleksandre is a lone-wolf fighter, the typical Warden of the North, who travels the wilderness by himself without companions. He rarely even visits Oraknev and has no interest in politics. His primary source of fulfillment is the killing of giants and great beasts.

When he was younger Aleksandre was attracted to the life of a Warden. To travel aimlessly in the wilderness seemed to be the perfect idea to him. The reality was even better and he fell in love with the lifestyle. While he loves Kasiya and adventured with her and a group of companions many years earlier, both of them know that his true place is not in a palace. The place where he does the best service is out killing the monsters that threaten Korovia.

Aleksandre will sometimes help out other adventurers, but has little patience if they start to slow him down. As long as he keeps killing them and the adventurers can keep up with his pace without getting injured too much. Stopping to visit a town for repairs or food is not on his agenda. With his endurance, he just keeps going. When he’s hungry, he shoots some local game with his bow, but otherwise is relentless in his hunt. He does sometimes go into a town and enjoy the benefits of being a Warden of the North, but it is rare. He needs a reason to do such a thing.

In an ideal situation, Aleksandre will go for the instant kill using a combination of sneak attack and power attack. Using Giantbane he deals 1d6+8 damage normally (strength, magical, specialization). Against a giant he gets an extra +2d6 from the swords enchantment and an extra +4 because it is his favoured enemy. Add in the +3d6 for a sneak attack and maybe a +8 from Power Attack, and he can deal an effective 6d6+20. If the roll is a 17 or higher, its double damage. Secondly, he can also do a second attack with his vorpal shortsword.

There is a reason why Aleksandre has the nickname “the Giant Assassin”.

Aleksandre knew Derek the Deadly on a personal level. He, Derek, Kasiya, Wilhelm and Ivan had adventured together years earlier (little known fact). The reason why the group split up is because of a complicated love-triangle (rare tidbit). Aleksandre is amongst a very small group of veteran adventurers with a personal vendetta against Derek. He sometimes visits Wilhelm and keeps tabs on where Derek is. One of the times that he visited Wilhelm, he had a gift waiting for him from Ivan: a vorpal shortsword.
