Folkenroth has studied at the Pennsylvania School of Art & Design and at A.R.T Research Enterprises (a bronze sculpture foundry). Otherwise she says "I am proudly self-taught." She has created her own "stylized visual language" and works towards creating "a visually beautiful, sensual, and emotional euphoric experience".

Folkenroth seldomly paints smaller than 18x24" so her works tend to be large or mid-sized. Her recent 2004-2005 works tend to be about 6" x 8". She also works in clay and wax, but at present the Lilith Gallery shows none of her sculpture pieces.

Folkenroth lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (she moved there from York Pennsylvania in the Autumn of 2003).

Many will note that Folkenroth's older art pieces are labelled "Caroline Taulbee". This is because she has recently changed her name back to her maiden name.
